Retirement-Income.net (“Retirement-Income”) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Javelin Marketing is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program.  TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build user’s trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices.  This privacy statement covers the Web site www.retirement-income.net.  Because this Web site wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe.

Information Collection and Use

Retirement-Income publishes various investment booklets, and newsletters. Users can sign up for free informational booklets, or a  free financial plan, from our home page and other areas of the site by providing their first name, e-mail address, phone number, and zip code. When a booklet or free financial plan is requested on the site, all of the information submitted is shared with an affiliated Financial Advisor in your area who does not share our company name. No further communication will come from the site except if we do not have an available financial advisor in your area. In that case, we may notify you when an advisor is available to send your requested information, and ask whether you opt to receive it at that time.

Log Files

As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files.  This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

We use a third-party tracking service that uses cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate such as pages viewed, time spent on the site, browser type, screen resolution, visit history, and other non-identifiable information to better optimize our site and improve usability for the visitor.

Communications From The Site

You will not receive any communications from the site once your have requested a booklet or newsletter except as described above. All communications via email, phone, or postal mail will come from an affililiated Financial Advisor in your area.  If you do not want a financial advisor to continue to contact you, please let the Financial Advisor know of your preferences.

Our site uses forms in which you give us contact information (your name, address, daytime telephone number, and email address) so you can place orders for free financial information that you may find of value to you. Your information will be provided to a local member of our network of Financial Advisers so that your information can be mailed to you from a local source.  That Financial Advisor may or may not phone you to inquire if you received the information and have questions. These members are independent contractors and not under our control.  Again, if you prefer that the Financial Advisor not to contact you further, please let the Financial Advisor know your preferences directly.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, you will need to resubmit your request for a newsletter or booklet on this Web site, OR contact the financial advisor who has contacted you following your original request. We will not contact you via email after your initial request has been fulfilled—we use your information only to fulfill your initial request or for any reason, if it cannot be fulfilled, to contact you in the future to verify your interest.

Choice/Opt-out

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.  For example, if you request a booklet or newsletter and if your request cannot be immediately fulfilled, you can indicate your preference not to be contacted in the future on our order form by checking the appropriate box at the bottom of the form.
We do not use your personally identifiable information once your initial request has been fulfilled, but may release it to third parties that send similar information. You can opt out of our database by emailing us at questions(at)Retirement-Income.net.  Additionally, you’ll want to contact the trusted local Financial Advisor who fulfilled your initial request, and will receive their contact information with your booklet or newsletter.

We share your name and email with Zacks Research (www.zacks.com) a global disseminator of financial information if you have opted-in to receive third party offers.  The information shared may be used by Zacks Research to contact you via email with related promotional offers or services. You will always be able to opt out of these communications if you desire by contacting Zacks. If you do not wish to have your information shared with Zacks Research, then click the checkbox at the bottom of any form to opt out of this inclusion.

Changes in this Privacy Statement

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
